Invoking\Calling CRM 2013 Actions from within Plugins

CRM 2013 provides a great features for developers to extend the functionality of the standard Microsoft Dynamics CRM system by creating custom messages, with associated request/response classes, known as Actions/Custom Actions/Custom Operation.

I tried to invoke a Custom Action from within a plugin code and was surprised to see that it returns proper business exception\message 'Not Supported'. While the same is executed successfully from an consone app or an custom page.

We have reported this behavior in Connect to CRM Product team. Hope to get a this working soon.
